The design for Valley Forge Casino Resort transformed obsolete convention center exhibition space into a new vibrant gaming venue and Pennsylvania’s first Category 3 Resort Casino. Located in suburban Philadelphia adjacent to historic Valley Forge National Park, the project involves 32,000 SF of gaming floor, 600 slot machines, 50 live table games, high limits and table game areas, with a feature bar and lounge. The program also includes casual and fine dining at seven restaurants, three bars/ lounges, and connections to the adjacent Radisson Hotel.
Cope Linder Architects assisted the Owners in a comprehensive evaluation of site circulation, building access and visibility, which resulted in extensive re-grading and new vehicular access patterns. The modifications allowed the conversion of a dark, obscure entry into a new covered guest drop-off and a second spacious porte-cochere valet service. From the two new casino entrances to the terraced, curving casino ceilings defining the softly enclosed feature gaming areas, the spacious showroom floor has become an intimate and lively club atmosphere evocative of regional traditions.
