Developed by Parkway Corporation, and managed by The Wurzak Group, the new 250,000 gross sf 248 key Hilton Home2 Suites extended-stay midrise hotel is the first urban site of all-new construction for the new brand. The 8 level hotel includes street level retail fronting a pedestrian promenade opposite the famous historic Reading Terminal marketplace and Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. The building’s massing blends with the historic late 19th century fabric of its neighbors yet includes energy efficient exterior panels, integrated green roof and advanced storm water management. The projects’ Basis of Design called for 25% energy savings over the current energy code, qualifying for funding through Philadelphia’s EnergyWorks program. The project was delivered under a Design/Build contract with LF Driscoll Co.
