This new addition to the historic 1908 Cassatt family mansion is situated on a 54 acre campus in Easttown Township, Pennsylvania. The 3 story 58,000 SF addition serves to organize and make accessible the entire complex. The new building is shaped to frame the mansion’s formal front lawn and to create a path of circulation which emphasizes the visual connection to the original Georgian house. Vibrant interior colors accent the diverse functions of the facility, while exterior materials and expressive geometry complement the historic façade. The functional program includes a fitness center, locker rooms, pool, exercise studios, babysitting facilities, membership services and administrative offices.
