As part of an ongoing program of improvements to Philadelphia’s most famous boulevard, CLA served as architect and landscape architect for a series of important Benjamin Franklin Parkway projects. CLA crafted details for the installation of façade lighting at the historic east portal of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as well as the Academy of Natural Sciences, Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, the Franklin Institute and the Moore College of Art. CLA designed new pedestrian and roadway lighting and banner poles along the entire length of the Parkway. CLA also designed the renovation of Triangle Park and Cret Café on the 1600 block and recently completed design of landscape improvements and sidewalk reconstruction from 16th to 18th Streets, which is currently under construction.
