This 160,000 SF eight story office building represents the initial phase of an ambitious 1 million SF master planned redevelopment along the Lehigh River waterfront. Recognized as a vital extension of Allentown's downtown business district and supported by the Neighborhood Investment Zone program, The Waterfront (http://thewaterfront.com) will offer a continuous riverfront public park space and spectacular views. The building is designed to take full advantage of these amenities. A double height lobby will extend through the building leading from the street entrance to a riverfront dining terrace. The typical floor plate of 20,000 SF will step back on upper levels to introduce balconies overlooking the river. Formerly the site of Lehigh Structural Steel fabrication shops, the site design will honor that rich history by incorporating elements of the industrial bridge crane structures positioned along the pubic promenade. A plaza marks the termination of the neighborhood street entering the site and an amphitheater forms a focal space between neighboring buildings.
